1 cup Noble Mills Short Grain Parboiled Rice
Microwave/Stovetop/Electric Rice Cooker
Rice Dish
1 1/2 cups water
1 tablespoon ghee or vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup golden raisins
Rinse the rice thoroughly to remove any excess starch.
In a medium saucepan, combine the rinsed rice with 1.5 cups of water for every cup of rice.
Bring the mixture to a rolling boil.
Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18-20 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the water has been absorbed.
Let the rice sit covered for 5 minutes to allow the flavours to meld.
Wash the rice under cold running water until the water is no longer cloudy.
Add the rinsed rice and the recommended amount of water to the rice cooker according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Close the lid and press the “Cook” button.
Let the rice cooker finish cooking, then let the rice sit, covered, for 5 minutes before serving.
